This day out can incorporate all of the above or we can concentrate on one or two specific area’s, this is entirely up to you and what you want out of your day. We can arrive at Uppingham and have time to look around this lovely Market Town with it’s famous Uppingham School, and take in the quaintness of what Uppingham offers. Proceed on towards the magnificent Rockingham Castle, built at the request of William the Conquerer. We’ll take a tour through the grand rooms and marvel at the views from the fortified walls out over the Welland Valley and beyond. Rockingham is full of fascinating history and many famous people have stayed within its walls such as Richard the Lionheart, and Charles Dickens to name but two. Travelling on through the outstanding beauty of the rolling Leicestershire countryside, through the Langtons towards our venue for a fine lunch, and on again to the charming Market town of Market Harborough, where you can explore its fine streets and shops, and take in its history and culture, which is evident everywhere.
